Meet Your Principals

Principal's Message:

Hello KMS families!  I am excited to be part of the community and school district that helped mold and shape me into the person and educator that I am today.  As a graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School, I have experienced the high-quality education that will help prepare our students to be successful in all facets of their lives.

I have thoroughly enjoyed serving as the Assistant Principal here at Kimpton these past five years. We pride ourselves in Waging Hope for one another and creating a middle school environment that welcomes all students.

My background in education includes 11 years as a science teacher at Buchtel High School in Akron and 16 years in high school and middle school administration (Barberton, Strongsville & Stow-Munroe Falls).  On a personal level, I have four active children and know firsthand what it is like to have middle school-age kids in the home.  The roller-coaster of emotions, while at times can be challenging, is such an amazing part of what makes this such a special yet pivotal time for children.

Middle school is a crucial time for children, and it is important that they be supported socially and emotionally, as well as in their academics. We strive to create an environment that is inviting, safe, inclusive, and supportive for all. I look forward to working with your child to help foster growth and independence and help him or her become a successful and responsible global citizen.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.  I can be reached by email at st_sdeitrick@smfcsd.org or by phone at 330.689.5280.

It is great to be part of the Bulldog family!

Wage Hope!

Assistant Principal's Message:

Hello, Stow-Munroe Falls City School District,

My name is Nick Kish, and I am extremely excited and grateful for this amazing
opportunity to introduce myself and humbly serve as Assistant Principal of Kimpton Middle
School. I am an extremely passionate, hardworking, collaborative, and data-driven educational
leader with a wealth of experience serving diverse populations of students, families, and
communities. I am eager to begin positively impacting Stow Munroe Falls City Schools and
supporting Principal Deitrick in his vision and mission of effectively serving the students and
families of Kimpton Middle School.

Our family prioritizes and embodies lifelong learning, respecting others, and positively
contributing to our community. These priorities align seamlessly with the mission of Stow-
Munroe Falls City Schools, which collectively encompasses providing a 21st-century Education
that Empowers Each Learner to Be a Self-Motivated, Successful Citizen in a Global Society.
Professionally, I have been fortunate to serve alongside amazing educators as an Intervention
Specialist for the Lorain County Board of Developmental Disabilities and as a K-12 Assistant
Principal and Principal for both Lorain Preparatory Academy and Norwalk City Schools.
Positive educational culture and climate remain imperative to student achievement.

Educators must meet students where they are mentally, physically, and emotionally for true
learning. Every student has a unique story, and building authentic and trusting relationships with
each student is key to educational success. Students must trust us before they can learn from us. I
understand the essential nature of helping create a respectful and inclusive academic
environment where ALL students know they are cared for, safe, and important.

As Assistant Principal at Kimpton Middle School, I will work relentlessly to support all
our teachers and staff members in supporting our kids. Every teacher and staff member is
essential to our continued success as a school and thriving district. I value the growth and
development of our teachers and staff members as both individuals and a collective professional
learning community. I am committed to providing timely support, evidence-based best
resources, and proper professional development our staff requires to serve students and engage our community effectively. I am truly inspired to continue growing and developing as an
educational leader while serving as an ethical, trustworthy, and dedicated professional to your
extraordinary school district.

Respectfully,
Nick Kish
